Better Than Ten Sons

1 Samuel 1:8: Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?

Elkanah was a type of the God who loves us. He loved Hannah. What is most important to us? Is it God*s love? It should be. Is it our job? Is it our home? Is it something else? Is it something we don*t have but want? Whatever our most important thing is God says Am I not better to thee than that? And He proves over and over that He is.
